આણંદ, ૩૦ ઓક્ટોબર, ૨૦૨૬: વડાપ્રધાન નરેન્દ્ર મોદીએ બનાસકાંઠાના ભીલડી ખાતેથી પીએમ કિસાન સન્માન નિધિનો ૨૪મો હપ્તો જાહેર કર્યો. દેશના ૯.૩૪ કરોડ ખેડૂત પરિવારોને ₹૧૮,૬૮૦ કરોડથી વધુ અને ગુજરાતના ૫૨.૩૩ લાખ પરિવારોને ₹૧,૦૫૧ કરોડથી વધુ સીધા ખાતામાં જમા થયા. આણંદ જિલ્લાના ૨,૬૧,૪૨૧ ખેડૂતોને આશરે ₹૫૨.૪૩ કરોડ મળ્યા.

Prime Minister Narendra Modi released the 24th instalment of the Pradhan Mantri Kisan Samman Nidhi (PM-KISAN) at a national-level "PM Kisan Utsav Diwas" at Bhildi in Banaskantha on Friday, October 30, 2026. The money went by direct benefit transfer (DBT) straight into farmers' bank accounts.

The numbers

  • India: more than ₹18,680 crore to over 9.34 crore farm families.
  • Gujarat: more than ₹1,051 crore to over 52.33 lakh farm families.
  • Anand district: about ₹52.43 crore to 2,61,421 farmers.
  • So far: instalments 1 to 23 had already paid more than ₹4,47,000 crore to over 11 crore families nationally, and more than ₹24,137 crore to over 69.26 lakh beneficiaries in Gujarat, according to Agriculture Minister Jitu Vaghani.

Across Gujarat

The Bhildi event was streamed live across the country. Gujarat held 34 district-level and more than 2,100 cluster-level programmes where farmers watched the broadcast and received approval letters under agriculture and horticulture schemes. At Bhildi, the Prime Minister also opened Banas Dairy projects and the ₹328.77 crore Bharat Bovine Breeding and Research Centre (see our report on those projects).

Anand's district function

Anand's celebration was held at Akshar Farm under Minister of State and district in-charge minister Sanjaysinh Mahida. He said DBT had cut out middlemen, and listed recent state decisions for farmers: assistance under the Mukhyamantri crop-storage godown scheme raised to ₹2 lakh, and wider support for tractors, smartphones and wire fencing against wild animals. He described Anand as becoming a model for natural, chemical-free farming. MLA Yogesh Patel also spoke.

Karamsad-Anand Mayor Dipikaben Patel, Collector Utsav Gautam, Municipal Commissioner R.N. Dodiya, KDCC Bank chairman Tejas Patel and Additional Collector Rahul Gamara attended with a large number of farmers and livestock keepers.
