મોરબી, ૩ નવેમ્બર, ૨૦૨૬: રમતગમત, યુવા અને સાંસ્કૃતિક પ્રવૃત્તિઓ વિભાગ તથા સ્પોર્ટ્સ ઓથોરિટી ઓફ ગુજરાત દ્વારા સ્પે. ખેલ મહાકુંભ-૨૦૨૬નું આયોજન કરાયું છે. મોરબી જિલ્લાના દિવ્યાંગ ખેલાડીઓ ૫ નવેમ્બર, ૨૦૨૬ સુધી રજીસ્ટ્રેશન કરાવી શકશે. ૨૧ પ્રકારની દિવ્યાંગ કેટેગરીના ખેલાડીઓ એથ્લેટિક્સ, ક્રિકેટ, ચેસ, સ્વિમિંગ સહિતની રમતોમાં ભાગ લઈ શકશે.

Para-athletes in Morbi district have until November 5, 2026 to register for Special Khel Mahakumbh 2026, the state's sports competition for people with disabilities, the District Sports Training Centre, Morbi, said. It is organised by the Sports, Youth and Cultural Activities Department and the Sports Authority of Gujarat, with events from district to state level.

Who can take part

21 disability categories, including total blindness, low vision, multiple disabilities, haemophilia, thalassaemia, sickle cell disease, autism, cerebral palsy, hearing impairment, speech and language disability, intellectual disability, mental illness, locomotor disability, dwarfism and acid-attack survivors.

Sports and age groups

  • Sports: athletics, cricket, chess, volleyball, basketball, swimming, badminton, table tennis, cycling, powerlifting, and throw and jump events, depending on the category.
  • Age groups: junior, senior, open age and above-35, varying by disability category.
  • Schedule (from the official poster): district level November 5 to December 14, 2026; state level December 15, 2026 to January 5, 2027.

What to bring

A valid disability certificate and identity proof such as Aadhaar. Schools, institutions and parents are urged to register as many eligible athletes as possible.
