એકતા નગર, ૨ નવેમ્બર, ૨૦૨૬: સ્ટેચ્યુ ઓફ યુનિટી ખાતે ગુજરાત એસ.ટી. નિગમ અને ગુજરાત ટુરિઝમે પારદર્શક છતવાળી અત્યાધુનિક 'એસી વિસ્ટા ડોમ કોચ' બસ સેવા શરૂ કરી છે. કુલ ૫ બસમાંથી હાલ ૨ બસ શરૂ થઈ છે અને બાકીની ૩ આગામી બે મહિનામાં આવશે. ટિકિટ GSRTCની વેબસાઇટ પરથી બુક કરી શકાય છે.
Visitors to the Statue of Unity at Ekta Nagar can now tour the area in an AC vista-dome coach, a bus with a transparent sky-view roof. The Gujarat State Road Transport Corporation (GSRTC) and Gujarat Tourism launched the service under Deputy Chief Minister Harsh Sanghavi, and the state describes the five buses as the first in India built to this international standard. Prime Minister Narendra Modi inaugurated the first bus at the Statue of Unity and took a ride in it.
On board
- 23 passenger seats, each revolving and fully reclining, plus the driver's seat.
- Glass dome roof for views of the sky and surrounding landscape from an air-conditioned cabin.
- LED smart TV, tea and coffee machine, mini fridge and mobile charging.
- CCTV cameras, a fire detection and suppression system, and toughened glass with emergency hammers.
The outside of each bus carries artwork of Gujarat landmarks: the Statue of Unity, Akshardham, Somnath and Dwarka temples, Gir National Park, Adalaj stepwell, the Dhordo white desert, the Tarnetar fair and Vijay Vilas Palace.
How to ride
Each bus cost ₹2.19 crore. Two of the five are in service now and the remaining three are due within about two months. Tickets are booked through the GSRTC website. Sanghavi said the service will later be extended in phases to other tourist spots and heritage routes in the state.
