ગાંધીનગર, ૨ નવેમ્બર, ૨૦૨૬: ૨૦૧૧ બેચના IAS અધિકારી જી.ટી. પંડ્યાએ ગુજરાતના માહિતી નિયામક તરીકેનો પદભાર સંભાળ્યો. આ પહેલાં તેઓ શિક્ષણ વિભાગમાં અધિક સચિવ હતા, અને મોરબી તથા દેવભૂમિ દ્વારકાના કલેક્ટર તેમજ રાજકોટના જિલ્લા વિકાસ અધિકારી તરીકે સેવા આપી ચૂક્યા છે.

G.T. Pandya, an IAS officer of the 2011 batch, took charge as Director of Information, Gujarat, on Monday, November 2, 2026. The Directorate of Information runs the Gujarat Information Bureau, which publishes the state government's press releases.

After taking charge, Pandya met Additional Director of Information Dr. Sanjay Kachot and other officers in Gandhinagar. He asked them to work as a team and gave guidance on how publicity can carry state and central welfare schemes to people at the last mile.
