ગાંધીનગર, ૪ નવેમ્બર, ૨૦૨૬: શહેરી વિકાસ અને શહેરી ગૃહ નિર્માણ વિભાગ અનુસાર ગુજરાતમાં AMRUT ૨.૦ હેઠળ રૂ. ૪,૮૩૨ કરોડના ૪૯૭ કામો પૂર્ણ થયાં છે. આ કામોથી ૨.૭૨ લાખથી વધુ નવા નળ જોડાણો અને ૧.૦૩ લાખથી વધુ નવા ગટર જોડાણો ઉમેરાયાં છે.
Gujarat has completed 497 works worth ₹4,832 crore under AMRUT 2.0, the Centre's urban water and sewerage mission, the state's Urban Development and Urban Housing Department said in a statement datelined Gandhinagar, 4 November 2026. The works cover tap-water supply, underground sewerage, lake renovation and parks.
What AMRUT 2.0 is
AMRUT 2.0 is the Atal Mission for Rejuvenation and Urban Transformation 2.0, launched on 1 October 2021 by the Union Ministry of Housing and Urban Affairs. Its main aims are a tap-water connection for every household in every urban local body, and sewer or septage connections for households in 31 AMRUT cities. It also pushes water security, revival of water bodies and wells, urban planning and better municipal finances.

Women's self-help groups
Under the Amrut Mitra and Women for Trees initiatives, about 178 self-help groups of women are taking part. The department reports 165 projects worth ₹604.158 lakh (about ₹6.04 crore) and more than 1.52 lakh trees planted so far.
The release gives statewide totals only. It does not break the figures down by city or say which of the 31 AMRUT cities received which works.
