અમરેલી, ૩૧ ઓક્ટોબર, ૨૦૨૬: અમરેલી તાલુકાના ત્રણ ગામોમાં રાજ્યમંત્રી કૌશિકભાઈ વેકરીયાએ રસ્તાના કામો ખુલ્લા મૂક્યા: બાબાપુરમાં ₹૧.૯૫ કરોડનો નવો સુવિધાપથ અને મોટા ભંડારીયામાં ₹૭ લાખનો સી.સી. રોડ લોકાર્પિત થયો, જ્યારે ફતેપુરમાં ₹૭ લાખના સી.સી. રોડનું ખાતમુહૂર્ત કરાયું. બાબાપુરના કાર્યક્રમમાં સતાધારના મહંત વિજય બાપુ પણ હાજર રહ્યા.

Three villages in Amreli taluka got road works on Saturday, October 31, 2026. Gujarat's Minister of State for Law and Energy, Kaushikbhai Vekariya, opened two finished roads and started work on a third. Mahant Vijay Bapu of Satadhar attended the function at Babapur.

What was opened, and what was started

  • Babapur — inaugurated: a newly built suvidha path (an all-weather village approach road) costing ₹1.95 crore. Villagers had asked for it for years; the district information office says it should end the monsoon-season trouble on the route.
  • Mota Bhandariya — inaugurated: a cement-concrete (CC) road inside the village, ₹7 lakh.
  • Fatepur — foundation stone: a CC road and related work for the village's internal streets, estimated at ₹7 lakh. This one is yet to be built.

That is about ₹2.09 crore across the three villages, nearly all of it the Babapur road.

Speaking at Babapur, Vekariya said the government was committed to taking basic facilities to the last household, and that road connectivity work was continuing across both urban and rural Amreli. Taluka panchayat office-bearers, the sarpanches, gram panchayat members and residents attended the three functions.

Why a village road matters

For farming villages like these, an all-weather road decides whether produce, school buses and ambulances get through during the monsoon. A CC road inside a village also stays usable when unpaved lanes turn to mud.
