How to Create an Architect Account on GujRERA 2.0 Portal — Step-by-Step Guide

Step-by-step guide for architects to create a user account on the GujRERA 2.0 portal using their active CoA Registration Number. Required for certifying Architect Certificates and reviewing physical project progress.

How to Create an Architect Account on GujRERA 2.0 Portal

GujRERA architect account creation is a one-time process that every architect engaged by a promoter must complete before they can certify the Architect Certificate or review the onsite physical progress of a registered real estate project in Gujarat.

Under the provisions of the RERA Act, architects are required to submit signed certificates at specific project milestones. To do this on the GujRERA 2.0 portal, a valid Architect user account linked to an active Council of Architecture (CoA) registration is mandatory.

Before You Begin

Have the following ready before starting:

  • Active CoA Registration Number (format: CA/XXXX/XXXXXX) — the validity date must not be expired
  • CoA Registration Validity date (the portal validates this against CoA records)
  • Active email address and mobile number — both will receive OTPs during sign-up
  • Education qualification details
  • Professional experience in years and number of key projects completed
  • Communication address with a valid 6-digit pincode

Note: The CoA Registration Number must be active and valid as of the date you are creating the account. If the CoA validity is expired, you will not be able to proceed.

Step 1: Open the Portal and Click Sign Up

Open https://gujrera.gujarat.gov.in/. Click the orange Login button at the top right. In the login modal, click Sign Up (for New Users).

Click "Sign Up (for New Users)" at the bottom of the GujRERA login modal

Step 2: Enter Email, Mobile and Select Architect as User Type

On the User Enrollment Form, fill in:

  • Email ID* — your professional or official email address; used for all future GujRERA notifications
  • Mobile No* — active number that can receive SMS
  • Type* — select Architect from the dropdown

Complete the reCAPTCHA and click Send OTP.

Select "Architect" from the Type dropdown, then click Send OTP

Step 3: Verify Your Email and Mobile via OTP

Two One-Time Passwords are sent — one to your email and one to your mobile. Enter both in the OTP verification screen and click Submit.

Enter both OTPs and click Submit to verify your contact details

Step 4: Fill the Architect Enrollment Form

After OTP verification, the Architect Enrollment Form opens. Fill all fields marked with a red asterisk *:

KYC Section:

  • CoA Registration Number* (format: CA/XXXX/XXXXXX) — entering this auto-populates all other details from the CoA database
  • CoA Registration Validity till* (dd/mm/yyyy) — must be a future date
  • First Name*, Middle Name, Last Name (Surname)*
  • Email ID* (pre-filled from Step 2)
  • Mobile No* (pre-filled from Step 2)
  • Education Qualification* (select from dropdown)
  • Professional Experience in Yrs
  • No of Key Project Completed

Address for Communication:

  • Address Line 1*, Address Line 2
  • Pincode* — auto-fills State, District, Taluka
  • State*, District*, Taluka*

Read the Declaration and click Create User.

Enter your active CoA Registration Number — all personal details auto-populate from the CoA records

After Submitting

Clicking Create User completes the Architect account creation on the portal. Unlike the Promoter or Agent account, the Architect account is activated immediately upon submission without a manual GujRERA verification step.

Your Architect User Account login credential is your CoA Number — use it (along with your password) to log in to the GujRERA RERA 2.0 portal for all future activities.

What You Can Do After Logging In

Once your Architect account is active, you can be assigned to a registered project by the Promoter and perform the following:

  • Certify the Architect Certificate — submit the signed Form 1 confirming project design compliance
  • Review onsite physical progress — validate the construction progress as per approved plans

Architects enrolled under IEI(I), GICEA, or ACCE(I) as their License Issuing Authority cannot be assigned as Structural Engineers or Form 2 filing Engineers — those roles require registration with the Planning Authority or Municipal Corporation (as per CGDCR). However, these architects can still be assigned as Quality Certifying Engineers (Form 2A).

Common Issues

CoA Number not recognized: Ensure you are using the current active CoA Number in the format CA/XXXX/XXXXXX. Expired CoA registrations will not be accepted.

Details not auto-populating from CoA Number: Double-check the CoA Number spelling and format. If the CoA number is correct but details still do not load, the CoA records may not be synced — contact GujRERA support.

Email or mobile OTP not received: Check your spam folder for the email OTP. For mobile OTP, ensure the number entered is active and can receive SMS. Both OTPs must be entered within the session timeout.
