વાપી, ૩ નવેમ્બર, ૨૦૨૬: મુખ્યમંત્રી ભૂપેન્દ્ર પટેલે વાપીના વી.આઈ.એ. ખાતેથી વલસાડ જિલ્લાને રૂ. ૪૪૧ કરોડના વિકાસકામોની ભેટ આપી: રૂ. ૧૬૫ કરોડના કામોનું ઇ-લોકાર્પણ અને રૂ. ૨૭૬ કરોડના કામોનું ઇ-ખાતમુહૂર્ત. તેમાં રૂ. ૪૮.૨૨ કરોડની ૧૫૦ બેડની વાપી સબ ડિસ્ટ્રિક્ટ હોસ્પિટલ અને નવેરા ખાતેનું જિલ્લા કક્ષાનું સ્પોર્ટ્સ કોમ્પ્લેક્ષ સામેલ છે. આ પૂર્વે રૂ. ૩૭.૫૦ કરોડના વલસાડ જિલ્લા પંચાયત ભવનનું પણ લોકાર્પણ કરાયું.

Chief Minister Bhupendra Patel handed Valsad district development works worth ₹441 crore at a programme at the VIA in Vapi on Tuesday, November 3, 2026: ₹165 crore of completed projects inaugurated online, and foundation stones laid for ₹276 crore more. Earlier he opened the new Valsad district panchayat building, built for ₹37.50 crore.

Vapi sub-district hospital

  • Built for ₹48.22 crore at Balitha, Vapi, with 150 beds.
  • 18 multi-speciality services and modern operation theatres.
  • Next to the highway, so accident victims can be treated within the "golden hour".
  • Free treatment up to ₹10 lakh under Ayushman Bharat and the state health card.

Deputy Chief Minister Harsh Sanghavi said the hospital's facilities would rival private hospitals.

District sports complex at Navera

A district-level sports complex at Navera in Valsad taluka, costing about ₹21.5 crore, has opened, where young athletes will train under expert coaches. With Ahmedabad hosting the 2030 Commonwealth Games, Sanghavi urged every village to send at least one player to national level, and said the state would work with industry CSR funds to adopt talented tribal and low-income children and train them for national and international events.

The Chief Minister praised how Valsad's people coped with this monsoon's floods, and cited a World Bank report saying 49.6 crore Indians have moved out of poverty. Sanghavi asked people to buy diyas and festive decorations from local artisans this Diwali, and praised the district's cleanliness drive and the police campaign against drugs and cybercrime.

Finance Minister Kanubhai Desai, district in-charge minister Nareshbhai Patel, Valsad-Dang MP Dhaval Patel, district panchayat president Hetalben Patel, Vapi mayor Dakshaben Patel and the district's MLAs attended.
