The Gujarati Cultural Association (GCA) of Bay Area is a 501(c)(3) nonprofit that has supported the Gujarati and broader Indian community in Northern California for over 40 years through festivals, education, and service-focused programs.
Mission, Vision & Values
GCA’s mission is to preserve, cherish, and celebrate Gujarati and Indian heritage while creating opportunities for current and future generations. Its vision emphasizes linguistic and cultural preservation, intergenerational belonging, and community collaboration—grounded in responsibility, accountability, honesty, openness, and family values.
Leadership & Governance
The Association is guided by a Board of Directors (17 members) led by President Saurin Patel, Vice President Vasudha Patel, Secretary Hetal Amin, and Treasurer Manisha Patel, with directors overseeing membership, communications, and IT. A Board of Trustees—including Krishna Patel, Mahesh B. Patel, and Mina Amin—serves as advisors and ombudsmen. GCA adopted new bylaws in June 2022 to strengthen structure and service.

GCA brings the community together with large-scale celebrations of Navratri Ras Garba, Holi, Diwali, Sankranti kite festivals, summer picnics, and networking activities.
