Maharaja Sayajirao University of Baroda (MSU Baroda) – Admission Guide 2025–26
MSU Baroda, established in 1881 and accredited with NAAC A+ status, offers fully online admissions for UG, PG, Diploma/Certificate, Professional (ACPC/ACPDC), and Ph.D. programs. Admissions are conducted through the MSU Baroda Central Admissions Portal and the Gujarat Common Admission Service (GCAS) portal, adhering to UGC and state norms.

2. Program Categories & Eligibility
MSU Baroda offers diverse programs under the following categories:
2.1 Undergraduate (UG)
- Courses: B.A., B.Sc., B.Com., B.B.A., B.C.A., B.Ed., B.Tech, B.Arch, B.Pharma, BFA, B.Lib.Sc., B.Voc
- Eligibility: 10+2 or equivalent with ≥45% (General), ≥40% (SC/ST/OBC/EWS)
- Selection: Merit via GCAS; JEE Main/GUJCET for B.Tech, NEET-UG for B.Pharma
2.2 Postgraduate (PG)
- Courses: M.A., M.Sc., M.Com., MBA, MCA, M.Ed., MSW, LLM, M.Tech, M.Pharma
- Eligibility: Bachelor’s degree with ≥50% (General), ≥45% (Reserved)
- Selection: Merit via GCAS; CAT/CMAT for MBA, GATE for M.Tech, departmental tests
2.3 Diploma & Certificate Programs
- Programs: 1–2 year Diplomas (Engineering, Pharmacy, Vocation), 6–12 month Certificates (Languages, Digital Skills)
- Eligibility: 10th or 10+2 with 35–50% depending on course
- Selection: Direct or GCAS-based
2.4 Professional Programs (ACPC/ACPDC)
- Courses: B.E./B.Tech, B.Pharma, B.Arch, M.Tech, M.Pharma, MBA, MCA
- Eligibility: As per ACPC/ACPDC rules + entrance exams (GUJCET, GATE, etc.)
- Selection: Centralized seat allotment via ACPC or ACPDC
2.5 Ph.D. Programs
- Fields: Science, Humanities, Law, Management, Education
- Eligibility: Master’s degree with ≥60% (General), ≥55% (Reserved); NET/JRF/GATE holders exempt from PET
- Selection: PET + Interview or national-level exam clearance
- Apply via: MSUB Ph.D. Portal
3. Admission Process
3.1 For UG/PG via GCAS:
- Register at GCAS portal and verify via OTP
- Login and select MSU Baroda and desired programs
- Complete form, upload documents (photo, signature, mark sheets, certificates)
- Pay application fee: ₹500 (General/OBC), ₹250 (SC/ST/PwD)
- Submit and download confirmation
- Wait for merit list, attend online counseling, verify documents at MSU campus
3.2 For ACPC/ACPDC Professional Programs:
- Apply on ACPC Portal or ACPDC Portal
- Participate in counseling and seat allotment
- Register on MSUB Portal → “Register for Professional Courses”
- Pay university fees and receive PRN (Permanent Registration Number)
3.3 For Ph.D.:
- Register at MSUB Ph.D. Portal
- Upload documents (Master’s marksheet, NET/JRF/GATE certificate)
- Pay PET fee (if applicable)
- Appear for PET/interview, submit proposal

5. Reservation & Fee Concessions
- Reservation: SC – 7%, ST – 15%, OBC/SEBC – 27%, EWS – 10%, PwD, Defence, and Sports as per Gujarat norms
- Fee Concessions: Applicable for reserved and economically weaker students
6. Scholarships
Students may apply for scholarships through the Directorate of Students’ Welfare for:

- EWS categories
- Government-funded schemes (state and central)
