The Indian Institute of Teacher Education (IITE), established by the Government of Gujarat in 2010, is a specialized university for teacher education. It offers integrated UG, PG, and Ph.D. programs in education. Admissions are merit-based and conducted through the Integrated Test for Teacher Trainee (i3T) under the GCAS framework, fully compliant with UGC and NCTE norms.

2. Programs Offered & Eligibility
IITE offers integrated and specialized programs designed for aspiring educators. Admission is based on the i3T score, with category-based eligibility relaxations.
2.1 Undergraduate Programs
- B.Sc.–B.Ed. (4 years): 10+2 (Science) with ≥ 50%
- B.A.–B.Ed. (4 years): 10+2 (Arts/Commerce) with ≥ 50%
- Selection: i3T merit rank
2.2 Postgraduate Programs
- M.Sc.–M.Ed. / M.A.–M.Ed. (3 years): Bachelor’s in relevant discipline with ≥ 50%
- M.Ed. (2 years): B.Ed. with ≥ 50%
- B.Ed.–M.Ed. Integrated (3 years): Bachelor’s degree with ≥ 50%
- Selection: i3T merit rank
2.3 Ph.D. in Education
- Duration: Minimum 3 years (full-time)
- Eligibility: Master’s in Education with ≥ 55% (or NET/UGC-JRF/GSET qualified)
- Selection: i3T or exempted via national-level scores + GDPI + Research Proposal
3. Admission Process
- Register for i3T: Go to the IITE Admission Page → Click on “i3T Examination Registration 2025”
- Fill academic and personal details, upload 10+2 or UG mark sheet, photo, signature
- Pay the i3T exam fee: ₹1,000
- Appear for the exam on the scheduled date (1 June 2025); results published on 15 June 2025
- Apply for admission through GCAS Portal (opens 20 June 2025) → Select IITE + enter i3T details
- Pay the application fee: ₹500 (General/OBC), ₹250 (SC/ST/PwD)
- Participate in counseling and report to campus with original documents for confirmation

5. Fees & Scholarships
- i3T Exam Fee: ₹1,000 (non-refundable)
- Application Fee: ₹500 (General/OBC), ₹250 (SC/ST/PwD)
- Program Tuition Fees: Check detailed fee tables in the UG and PG brochures
- Scholarships: Eligible students can apply for MYSY, SC/ST/OBC schemes and central/state scholarships via the Directorate of Students’ Welfare
6. Reservation Policy
IITE follows the Government of Gujarat’s reservation policy:
- SC – 7%
- ST – 15%
- SEBC – 27%
- EWS – 10%
- Additional quotas for PwD, Defence, and Sports categories
