અમદાવાદ, ૧૨ ઓક્ટોબર, ૨૦૨૬: પૂજા અને તહેવારોની સીઝનમાં મુસાફરોની વધારાની ભીડને પહોંચી વળવા પશ્ચિમ રેલવે અમદાવાદ અને માલદા ટાઉન (પશ્ચિમ બંગાળ) વચ્ચે સાપ્તાહિક સ્પેશિયલ ટ્રેન 09401/09402 દોડાવશે. 09401 દર બુધવારે 14 ઓક્ટોબરથી 25 નવેમ્બર સુધી અમદાવાદથી અને 09402 દર શુક્રવારે 16 ઓક્ટોબરથી 27 નવેમ્બર સુધી માલદા ટાઉનથી ઉપડશે. બંને દિશામાં 7-7 ફેરા રહેશે.
Western Railway will run a weekly special train between Ahmedabad (ADI) and Malda Town (MLDT) to clear the extra festive rush during the Puja season, according to a notification issued by the Chief Passenger Transportation Manager's office at Churchgate on October 12, 2026. The train has been approved by the Railway Board under the Train on Demand (TOD) Winter/Pooja special category and runs on special fare.

Stops in Gujarat
From Ahmedabad, the train halts at Nadiad (16:04), Anand (16:19), Chhayapuri/Vadodara (17:00) and Godhra (18:13) before entering Madhya Pradesh at Ratlam. On the return run it reaches Godhra at 09:13, Chhayapuri at 10:10, Anand at 11:08 and Nadiad at 11:24 on Sunday morning, arriving in Ahmedabad at 13:00. It passes through Geratpur without stopping.

Booking and running status
The notification directs Western Railway's commercial department to arrange reservations and to show the train in NTES and ICMS, so passengers should be able to check its running status on the National Train Enquiry System and book through IRCTC and PRS counters once reservations open. The notification does not give a booking-open date or fares; since this is a special-fare train, fares will be higher than those of a regular mail/express train.
