Gujarati Samaj of New York (GSNY) is a non-profit cultural and educational organization founded in 1974 by young Gujarati professionals in the New York tri-state area. It started with around 100 members and has now grown to over 2,600 life members.
GSNY promotes Gujarati and Indian culture by organizing festivals, cultural programs, youth and senior activities, health fairs, and community events. Its 12,000 sq ft community center in Fresh Meadows, Queens can host up to 700 people and is also used by other community groups.
Over the years, GSNY has become one of the most active and respected Gujarati organizations in the USA. It works to preserve traditions, unite families, and support future generations through cultural development, women’s empowerment, youth programs, and charity initiatives.
